Do the game system softcovers(?) include the PDF(s)? Could you clarify?

Any time someone buys a print copy the PDF is given for free. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a softcover or hardcover as long as it is a print copy.

What is the status for shipping overseas?

International shipping on a book this size may be quite expensive. If you are a non-US customer, please read the shipping information below. We anticipate shipping to be $80 to $100 for most countries, and could even be more. Shipping for the tapestries (and only the tapestries) is calculated into their price for Canada, the UK, the EU, and Australia.

PLEASE NOTE! There is no POD option for this book like we have offered to overseas customers on smaller books–this thing is just too big to glue bind. It would fall apart and you would be unhappy.

Please see OVERSEAS SHIPPING near the bottom of the Campaign page.

So, if we want to include the add ons we just increase our pledge by that much right? So, Campaign Notes (50), Pathfinder Version (40), 5e Version (40). I just add 130 bucks to my pledge amount.

You actually have two options about the addons. You can add the amount now to your pledge amount and yes for what you listed it would be $235. Or you can wait to pay for the addons until the Backerkit comes out. The choice is yours. The shipping cost will be figured out at the end of the KS in Backerkit.

Is the "Map Super Pack" in PDF form as well?

Not really–but the main map is and can be sized to print

Is the guide book 100% system agnostic?

The book is entirely system-agnostic. The supplements will provide additional information (which isn’t in the book) relevant for running a Lost Lands campaign using the applicable system.

What kinds of things will be in the Developer Notes? Will there be a PDF version?

The developer’s notes are the “bible” of material that we have been using as a guide as we have been writing the book. It mainly consists of lists of people, places, gods, and the like, with rough descriptions of each. Nothing at all refined, but it provides a deep look into the details of the Lost Lands. There isn’t a separate option to get just a PDF of the developer’s notes, but purchasers of the softcover will get a PDF, just as with other FGG products.

Probably no PDF. Much is hand written or in word files. BW

Will the Addendums include the rule information for the Gods?

Some but not all. There will domains for PF and Cleric Paths for 5E, though.

Are the Addendum included at the higher tiers the softcovers or only pdfs?

The Addendum’s are print + PDF at all levels of Pledge.

Just wondering, what exactly is the map super pack multi poster pack? I'm guessing that it is maps of cities and other locations, or something else?

It’s the same as the 6-panel world map, but instead of being one 6-panel poster, its twelve 6-panel posters – so on a much larger scale.

Is the pdf version just a "guide" to the Setting Book, as is described in the title, or is it actually the pdf version of the print Setting Book and just strangely named in all the pledge tiers?

There seems to be variations on the same title. The PDF will be a digital copy of the physical book.

Will the Campaign Setting have the information from the previously published material, or will they just say, "See Seperate Published Material" Or will there be a mix of the two?

All world setting book was carefully checked and written to match canon in prior books. I bet we missed a few things, but it should be 99 percent plus compatible and accurate.

Much linkage and hooks provided in text for prior content

What happended to the idea of having several books with a slipcase. Much easier to handle than a 700 page book.

Bill just said if he did that the cost for the set would have been $175.

From Mark Greenberg: Bill will have to reply with the specifics, but I can tell you that we did discuss a two-volume set. The problem is that the price of two 350-page books is a lot more than one 700-page book, which would have raised the price point too high in our estimation. In addition, to make the books at all economical, you need to be able to give the printer volume. So it would be even more expensive if only five or ten people (or even 20) wanted this option. We also don’t like using POD, because you can’t get the kind of quality book that FG is known for; and a poorly bound 350-page book would likely fall apart in a few months, and that just ain’t worth it. I wish this could be an option, but we couldn’t find a way to make it work.

Will the Developer Notes be available as a separate purchase at a later date after the Kickstarter ends?

Bill just said that the Designer Notes will be offered on Backerkit but not afterward.

What are the Developer Notes?

The developer notes constitute the “bible” of material that we have been using as a guide as we have been writing the book. It’s a bunch of files that mainly consist of lists of people, places, gods, and the like, with rough descriptions of each. Nothing at all refined, but it provides a deep look into the details of the Lost Lands. The final book will organize all of the material in the notes (and clean up errors and inconsistencies), so for the purpose of running a Lost Lands campaign, they are totally unnecessary. Interesting, but unnecessary.

Addon price for a 2nd world guide book (non-leather)?

Extra books come with a poster and are still $105 (that’s slightly less than retail afterwards)

Just to try and wrap my head around this... The book will be 700+ pages? And how many of these will be adventures?

There are no adventures in the main book. This book is system neutral. That means it isn’t written for any particular gaming system such as 5E, PF or SW. It is a very large information resource about the Lost Lands.

Last updated: March 01, 2019 06:31

Is there any place with a synopsis of the major areas and what races/nations are located there?

There will be an introductory section which will provide an overview of the lands, the seas, the history, the different races and religions.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
